Description | Client: AirOn (ru.airon.ua/) Product: AirBook City e-book (ru.airon.ua/foto/Wi-Fi-City/) Сoncerns: The market is overcrowded with various gadgets. For a local brand it is hard to differentiate among global lovemarks like Apple. Modern youth does not read books very often. Reading is out of fashion in the era of entertainments available with tablets and smart phones. Tasks: The new product had to became recognizable, to get it’s own face. It should not be just like “yet another e-book”. It had to become a stylish thing desirable for the target audience. Creative Solution: I developed concept, naming, Identity and package of the product. The concept is based on the spirit of a modern big city life – full of events and eternal movement. The name "City" differentiates this gadget in the AirBook line. The features of the device allow not only reading, but also surfing the Internet and browsing facebook via Wi-Fi. The name indicates that the gadget is useful for the people who live in a megalopolis. The chosen identity makes the gadget noticeable on a store shelf, in a subway train or in any other place. It’s outlook gives the owner aesthetic pleasure and attracts attention all around. The specially redesigned logo and recognizable graphic elements are repeated on the rear surface of the e-book, on the package and in the user guide. Everything was drawn in the technique of hand-made graphics to reflect the rhythm of urban life - speed, density, a lot of signs and symbols, modern technology everywhere, passion always to be in a trend. Minimalism in colors makes the gadget look stylish and elegant – like the one that will appeal to most of young people. As the result the AirBook City looks bright, brave and catchy. Reading with an e-book is not just convenient but also fashionable now. |
