Lasha was born on the 13th of October, 1975 in Tbilisi, Georgia. After finishing school in 1992 he entered Georgian Art Academy. In 1994 he went to Bulgarian Art Academy for internship and stayed there for a year. Then he came back and continued studying in the Georgian Art academy. As soon as he graduated from the Art Academy in 1997, the same year he entered Shota Rustaveli Film and Theater academy, from where graduated in 2001. As Lasha always been interested in photography he decided to deepen his knowledge in this sphere and in 2002 went to Germany to attend photography courses there. In 2005 he moved to NY to study film directing in New York Film Academy.
