President of the Outdoor, radio and creative use of media Jury is Bechara Mouzannar
Bechara Mouzannar, Chief Creative Officer at Leo Burnett MENA, has been appointed Chairman of the Outdoor, radio and creative use of media jury at the Kiev International Advertising Festival.
In 2011 Bechara was appointed Chief Creative Officer for Leo Burnett Middle East and North Africa. He is overlooking the creative product of eleven offices in ten countries. In 2012, the Big Won Report recognized Bechara as the 4th best Chief Creative Officer in the world. He’s been a member of several juries at prestigious festivals such as Cannes Lions, Golden Drum, Cristal, LADC in Europe and the New York Festival.
Bechara Mouzannar began his career at PublicisConseil in Paris in 1984. He then worked as a film director for three years, shooting more than a hundred commercials. In the early 90s Bechara was appointed Creative Director at Leo Burnett Beirut. Together with his team he put a lot of effort into giving a humanly insightful and genuinely local new approach to Lebanese Advertising. As a result of his work, Leo Burnett Beirut has become the most awarded Beirut-based agency in the world.
In 2009, Bechara completed an EMBA at the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, developing a new vision of how to innovate the channels of integrating an idea, and learning how to better engage and entertain people with a brand.
Also in 2009 the “Khede Kasra” campaign, developed by Leo Burnett Beirut for an organization fighting for women’s rights, won a gold Cannes Lion in the PR category, and also received a Grand Prix in the outdoor category at the Golden Drum festival and a Grand Prix at the Cristal de la Mena festival. The 2009 Big Won Report ranked this campaign first in the world in the Media category.
In 2012 the Big Won Report recognized Leo Burnett Beirut as the 6th most creative agency worldwide. Also in 2012 Leo Burnett MENA became Network of the Year at both the Dubai Lynx and MENA Cristal festivals, while also winning 7 Cannes Lions. Earlier this year Leo Burnett Beirut became Agency of the Year at the MENA Cristal festival for the second year in a row.
